Winter yummy cups by american girl magazine

I got these from an American girl magazine! The pictures look wonderful in the magazine!
Chocolate Peppermint Dream
ingredients: directions: 1. Take the cup and put brownie in the bottom.
brownie 2. add layer of candy cane
crumbled candy cane 3. top cup off with chocolate pudding
chocolate pudding 4. put whip cream on top
whipped cream 5. add a few pieces of candy cane

Triple Chocolate Chip
ingredients: directions: 1. place brownie in bottom of cup
brownie 2. add layer of crumbled chocolate chip cookies
chocolate chip cookies 3. top with scoop of whipped cream
chocolate pudding 4. finish with whipped cream and chocolate chips

Snowflake Sundae
ingredients: directions: 1. place pound cake at bottom
cubed pound cake 2. add vanilla pudding
vanilla pudding 3. top with vanilla sandwich cookies

ingrediants: crumbled graham crackers, pumpkin pie filling, carmel topping, whipped cream and sprinkles directions: 1. graham crackers at bottom of cup

4. finish by putting whipped cream and sprinkles on top

Saint Lucia Day braided bread

Ingrediants:
Dough:
1 1/4 cups milk
2 1/4- ounce packages active dry yeast
1/4 cups and 1 tablespoon suger
6 tablespoons butter, cut into peices
2 large eggs
1/4 cup orange juice
1 tablespoon finally grated orange grind
1 teaspoon salt
6 cups all-purpose flour

Glaze and Garnish:
2 1/2 cups powdered suger
3 tablespoons orange juice
1/3 cup cranberries
white birthday cake candeles


  • warm milk and put 1/2 a cup in a large bowl
  • add yeast and 1 tablespoon suger, let sit for 5 minutes. Melt butter in the remaining milk
  • add butter and milk mixture with yeast mixture, whisk eggs, juice, 1/4 cup suger, orange rind, and salt
  • Stir in flour, 1 cup at a time, until the dough can be gathered in a ball. Kneed flour on a flouered counter for 10 minutes adding flour until dough is smooth and elastic and dosn't stick to your hands
  • Transfer dough to an oiled bowl turning it once to completly coat it. loosly cover bowl with plastic wrap to rise (1 1/2 hours)
  • Punch down dough and split into 3 parts. roll to 30- inch ropes. braid together
  • transfer braid to greased baking pan. pinch together ends to make a circle, let rise until doubled in size (45 min.)
  • heat oven to 375. bake bread for 25 minutes. let cool on wire wrack for 30 minutes
  • mix powdered suger and orange juice in a medium bowl until smooth
  • drizzle glaze and add cranberries on bread. finally add candles. serves 12

my white and milk choclate cookies

Ingrediants:
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup (2 sticks) butter (softened)
3/4 cup granulated suger
3/4 cup packed brown suger
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 large eggs
half a bag of Nestle Toll House milk chclate or semi sweet chclate morsals
half a bag of Nestle Toll House white choclate morsals
if you want 1 cup of chopped nut

Directions:
- preheat oven to 375 degrees
- mix flour, baking soda, and salt in small bowl
- beat butter, suger, brown suger, and vanilla extract in large bowl until creamy
- beat eggs in one at a time and beat in well
- gradually beat in dry ingrediants
- stir in morsals and nut
- drop rounded tablespoons of cookie dough onto baking sheet
- bake for 20 to 25 minutes
- let cool for 2 to 3 minutes

Maryland Crab Cakes

Crab cakes made Maryland style!
yummy :) makes 5 patties!

Ingredients:
1 pound of shredded crab meat
1 1/2 tablespoons of dried bread crumbs
2 teaspoons chopped and fresh parsley
salt and pepper to add taste to
1 egg
1 1/2 tablespoons mayonnaise
1 1/2 teaspoons ground dry mustard
1 dash of hot pepper sauce
1 packs of burger buns
tomatoes sliced up
lettuce
ketchup, salsa or barbecue sauce

Directions:
- preheat your oven broiler
- Mix the shredded crab meat, the bread crumbs, parsley, and the salt and pepper
- beat the egg, mayonnaise, dry mustard, and the hot pepper sauce
- mix dry ingredients and the wet ingredients together, well
- form into patties and put on a baking sheet or a broiler pan
- broil for 10 to 15 minutes or until light brown
- when done cooking take out and put on bun and put a tomato slice, some lettuce, and one of the three sauces listed above
- may be served warm or cool

strawberry waffle sundaes

Strawberry Waffle Sundeas
found this in Family Circle
the June 2009 one
heat oven to 200 degrees
in medium bowl put 1 container of strawberrys,
2 tablespoons of orange juice,
and 1 1/2 teaspoons of suger and toss together
use a waffle maker (use manufactureres directions)
in large bowl mix biscuit mix, milk, egg, oil,
vannila and cinnamon and make waffles out of this
put cooked waffles in 200 degree oven while others
are being made (need 12 waffles)
when ready to serve put one waffle on a plate
top that with a scoop of vannila icecream, strawberry mix ,
another waffle, a few more strawberrys and whipcream
drizzle with choclate syrup and serve
this serves 12 people

Pizza

Pizza and sauce
dad taught me this recipie
heat oven to 185 degrees
Dough in large bowl
1 1/2 cups of warm water
1 tablespoon of yeast
2 teaspoons of suger
wait for yeast to rise and bloom
2 cups flour
about 1/2 cup olive oil
1/2 teaspoon of salt
add basil or oregano
Mix
add one cup of flour if not thick in conncistincy
keep mixing until stretchy and kind of shiny
add about 1/2 a cup of flour and mix
then kneed with fingers ( put flour on hands )
Kneeding
remember to pull sleeeves up!
put 1 or 2 tablespoons of olive oil in another large bowl
roll dough around in oil enough to cover the outside of it
put towel on top of bowl and put in oven to rise... about 30 minutes
Flour counter and spread around on counter
take dough out and put on flowered counter
kneed only a tiny bit; not very hard
take out pizza stones and put corn meal on them
then cut in half and put one half on each stone
Shape them onto circles or squares
Don't roll dough to thin!
poke holes with fork into the dough
then rub olive oil on dough
then put in oven until golden
then put sauce on and add toppings and cheese
Sauce
open a can of tamato sauce ( I use Hunts)
put in pan and heat stove top to medium
add oregano and/or basil
heat until simmers
